The Peoria Civic Center is a multi-venue entertainment and business center located in downtown Peoria, and consisting of exhibition halls and meeting rooms, a 2200-seat theater and a sports arena. Though plans to build a civic center were started as early as 1930, the center was only built and opened to host events in 1982 - the first of which was a Kenny Rogers concert.
